Break Stress With Breathwork

Break Stress With Breathwork

Our lives start and end with a single breath. We experience more than 100 million breaths between that first and last one.  All of those in-between breaths are a mirror of your relationship with the world.

Your breath tells you how your life is going at this moment.

Trust me, and try it now. Check in with your breath. Close your eyes and observe your breathing. How did it feel? Choppy and shallow? Short and irregular? Stuck high in your chest?

When we take our breath for granted, we take our life for granted.

We can heal ourselves with breathwork. Breathwork uses specific techniques in a continuous pattern with a guided facilitator and music. It releases stagnant energy and pent-up emotions from the body.

Unlike therapy, it starts in the body instead of the mind, known as a bottoms-up approach. Breathwork allows the body to take over healing as the mind hands over control. It bypasses the complexity of the mind and works directly with the body.

Our bodies store emotions from past difficult experiences. These experiences create patterns and habitual stress responses. When you break the stress response from the past, the present becomes lighter.

Do you have a racing mind? Do you feel anxious or stressed more often than not? When emotions like stress build up, they tip the scales of your system. Breathwork brings you back to balance. It connects you back to your body.

The more you connect with your body, the more healing that occurs.

Breathwork takes a few of your daily 20,000 breaths with intention. Intentional breathing is a relief for your body. It can take you from confused to clear, from frustrated to free. As you let go of stagnant energy, your body resets.

The range of breathwork outcomes is much like the range of breathing. It can be deep and powerful or gentle and calming. Breathwork is a practice of attuning to one’s body. Attuning is presence and attention to oneself or another.

Breathwork is not a destination or an assignment. The goal isn’t to be enlightened or develop a new book idea. In fact, there is no goal.

With breathwork, you come back to a human being instead of a human doing.

Breathwork is a way to make it through this modern world with our ancient brains. Breathing is our life force – prana. It is connection to our consciousness. It is recognition of the greater intelligence that exists all around and in us.

Breath is life. Breathwork is becoming more alive.

Breathwork takes you out of your comfort zone but never out of your safety zone. It strengthens your adaptability. It heals your body.
